Problem 3: Control to Output Transfer Function

I had a conceptual question that someone might be able to answer:

(1) Is the converter control-to-output TF just what is listed on page 300 for the boost converter? I think the parameters for the ZVS-QSW would be the same for the PWM parent converter only because d_hat is the control variable and not fs_hat (like in the one example posted for hw10).

(2) Can anyone explain why the 2 transistor ZVS-QSW is as simple as using the small signal model of the PWM boost converter? (This is on the last slide of the lecture 36).

(1)Control-to-output TF for ZVS-QSW boost is not the same as control-to-output TF of the PWM boost. Half-wave ZCS-QR boost example is solved in the notes posted at schedule page for lecture 36. Please go through the notes.

(2) L36 last slide shows that 2 transistor ZVS-QSW buck small signal AC model can be formed when:
- d_hat is replaced by μ_hat in the PWM buck small signal model and
- Blocks to calculate μ_hat are added to the PWM buck small signal model (μ_hat=d_hat+Ki*i_hat+Kv*v_hat). Blocks that form μ_hat (Ki and Kv) are obtained in perturbation and linearization step.

Control variable d_hat is used to calculate μ_hat and μ_hat is part of the current source on the primary and voltage source on the secondary side.
